Then head to downtown Greendale for our neighbors' most anticipated Village Days celebration ever.
The first of five days of festivities commemorating the village's 75th anniversary is Wednesday with a full lineup:
- hot air balloon rides from 6-9 p.m.;
- Retro ‘40s on Broad Street from 5-9 p.m., featuring vintage cars, period costumes, “appearances” from Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt and more;
- Vintage Car Show from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Registration is $10 and includes brat, beer, t-shirt and a chance to win $200 cash prize for best in show.
The car show will feature cars, motorcycles and military vehicles.
In addition, don't miss the American Legion Post #416 corn roast and the Greendale Lions Club Food and Beer Garden, both in Gazebo Park.
Not sure where to park? Don't sweat it. Ride the shuttle from Southridge Mall throughout Village Days (except Sunday).
