Lisa Elliott Era 'Begins' Monday at Board Meeting

OK, so Lisa Elliott has officially held the position of superintendent of the Greenfield School District since July 1, and has been involved in the decision-making for many weeks prior to that.

But Monday is her first School Board meeting, and the first chance for the public to see her in action.

After being formally introduced along with new Director of Business Amy Kohl, Elliott and the board will tackle a slew of items, from the potential ratification of the teacher union’s bargaining agreement to possible improvements to the high school softball diamond.

The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Administration Center, 4850 S. 60th St.

What else is happening this week in Greenfield?

• Whitnall High Schools’ fall athletics meeting is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the high school. Attendance is mandatory for all fall athletes. The agenda and required forms are on the WHS webpage.
• Speaking of Whitnall, the high school’s summer training camp is Monday through Friday at Falcon Field.
• Wesley Matthews of the NBA, tons of Marquette University players and loads of former area high school stars will take the court for the Scion Dental Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am basketball tournament. Games are Friday and Saturday at Greenfield High School.
• And don’t forget to visit the Greenfield Farmer’s Market at Konkel Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
