
Greenfield Highlands, a massive condominium development stalled by the housing recession years ago, could move forward in the near future.
Developer Mike Dilworth hopes to build six, three-story buildings that would hold a total of 180 condo units to the west of Budget South Cinema on Highway 100 and south of Cold Spring Road.
The gated community would have 126 units with two bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms averaging between 1,370 and 1,605 square feet.
Additional units would have one bedroom and one and a half bathrooms or one bedroom, a den and one and a half bathrooms.

There would be 276 underground parking spaces and 24 units would have a private entrance. Other amenities would include a clubhouse and outdoor pool.

In 2007, the plan called for 156 condo units. Increasing the total number of units would decrease the total unit size, and lower the average selling price for potential buyers.
A road, parking areas and storm basins have been in place for years, but no above-grade construction occurred at the location.
The proposal will first come before the city’s Plan Commission on Tuesday, with a public hearing to follow likely sometime in December.
If approved, work on the project would start as early as 2014.
