Plasma Collection Site To Open In Greenfield
This is the 13th BioLife center to open in Wisconsin, and it expects to bring more than 40 new jobs to the Greenfield community.
GREENFIELD,WI— BioLife Plasma Services is opening a new plasma donation center in Greenfield, which will be collecting standard plasma that is processed into a wide variety of therapeutics for the thousands of patients around the world with rare, life-threatening diseases, such as immunodeficiency disorders, hemophilia and hereditary angioedema.
"The need for plasma is greater than ever, and donations can help save lives", a spokesperson told Patch.
Prospective donors can make online appointments to visit the Greenfield center, which is located at 7801 W. Layton Ave. The site opens Saturday, October 31.

This is the 13th BioLife center to open in Wisconsin, and it expects to bring more than 40 new jobs to the Greenfield community as well as contribute $2 to 3 million on average annually to the community through donor compensation.
The BioLife Greenfield center does not yet have the FDA regulatory license needed to release convalescent plasma donations, but plans to collect convalescent plasma donations in the future.
