According to the criminal complaint, the pharmacist, however, noticed the prescribing doctor’s name was misspelled. In addition, the prescription called for one pill four times a day, which the pharmacist found peculiar considering Cooper was able to hold a child of approximately 6 months of age, without any apparent physical restrictions.

In addition, the pharmacist later confirmed that the issuing physician had not worked at the clinic where the prescription originated in more than a month.

Cooper declined to give a statement as to how or why she attempted to fill the fake prescription, the complaint says. She was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by misrepresentation, a felony, April 22.

If convicted, she faces a maximum of three years of imprisonment, $5,000 in fines or both.
