Roundabout Construction Causes Greenfield Road Closures

GREENFIELD, WI — People driving in the area of Highway 100 in Greenfield were greeted with more detours on Monday, July 23, as the Wisconsin Department of Transportation closed two main routes for long-term construction.

Construction crews are starting construction on a roundabout at Janesville Road and Forest Home Ave.

As a result, Janesville Road just east of Highway 100 has been closed until fall 2018 for construction of the roundabout. Forest Home Ave. just east of Highway 100 has also been closed as construction of the roundabout begins in earnest.

The Department of Transportation says that people can use Highway 100, Layton Ave., 84th Street and Forest Home Ave. to avoid the road closures.

Access to businesses and residences in the road closure areas will be maintained during construction according to the DOT.
