When Do Whitnall Schools Start?

Here are some important things you need to know as the first day of school in the Whitnall School District fast approaches:
When is the first day of school? We’ll start with the easiest question of all. The first day for all four Whitnall schools is Tuesday, Sept. 3, the day after Labor Day. (Note: some kindergarten students start Sept. 4. Check with your school!)

But there are other important dates on the calendar you need to know, like early dismissal dates, days when there is no class and holiday and spring breaks.
OK, I know when the first day of school is, but when does class start? It’s Year 2 of the district’s altered school start times:

- Elementary Schools: 8:35 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.
- Middle School: 8 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
- High School: 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
- Core 4: 8:35-11:25 a.m. and 12:45-3:35 p.m.
We’re new to the area and I haven’t enrolled my student yet. What do I do? Parents of students should head to the district website for all the important information they need, such as the appropriate forms and a list of documents needed to get your student enrolled. Returning students can also find all the info they need online.
