Whitnall-Based Softball Team Wins NSA World Series Qualifier
The team, the Rage, needed extra innings in the championship game at a three-day tournament in Cudahy over the weekend.

This past weekend the U12 Rage, a fastpitch softball team comprised of girls from the Whitnall School District and surrounding areas, won an NSA World Series qualifying tournament.
The Rage competed in a three-day tournament in Cudahy, capped with a 15-11, nine-inning win in a winner-take-all championship game against the Queen of Diamonds-Purple.
The Rage opened the tournament Friday with an 11-2 win over Queen of Diamonds-White, a team from Oak Creek. The next day, the Rage handled the Hudson Heartbreakers from Escanaba, MI, 9-1.

The Rage needed eight innings to beat the Lakeland Legends, 9-5, on Sunday, before losing to Queen of Diamonds-Purple, 4-3, to set up the final in the double-elimination tournament.
The team is coached by Eric Wynn and Whitnall High School varsity coach Tom Hickman.
