Woman Tried Stealing Car At Greenfield Veterinary Clinic: Police

Greenfield police say the 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of an attempted theft from a vehicle.

GREENFIELD, WI — A 44-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested after police say she broke into a car, and later claimed that it was hers when the car's owner confronted her.

According to Greenfield police call logs, a Milwaukee police officer called authorities in Greenfield after her daughter told her a woman tried taking her car while she was at the Greenfield Veterinary Clinic, 5981 S. 27th Street.

Police call logs show that officers responded to the clinic just before 10 a.m.

According to Greenfield police, the car's owner said the woman opened the car door, and climbed inside, claiming it was her car.
