Some places and services may be closed Sunday and Monday for the holiday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Many government services change their hours or close during holidays. Here's what will be open and closed in Milwaukee on the 4th of July.

Government Offices: City offices will be closed Monday. They will reopen Tuesday.

Courts: The municipal court will be closed on Monday, the city said. Citation payments can still be made online.

Parks: Milwaukee County parks will operate at regular hours over the holiday.

Libraries: All public libraries will be closed from Saturday to Monday, the library system said.

Trash And Recycling: The City of Milwaukee will not perform trash pickups on Monday.

Buses: Milwaukee County Transit System buses will run on their Sunday schedule hours on Monday.

Post Offices: United States Postal Service offices will be closed Monday. They will open again Tuesday.

Trains: Amtrak restored its Hiawatha Service round trips between Milwaukee and Chicago in May, the service said. Trains will run on their regular schedule through the holiday.
