'Hunters And Angels' Help Eligible Wisconsinites Get Vaccine

If you’re among Wisconsinites newly eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine but aren’t sure where to start, a group of local vaccine hunters can help.

Bob Orech of Germantown realized how difficult it is to schedule a coronavirus vaccine appointment when seeking one for his parents. He decided to help by creating the Milwaukee and WI Area Vaccine Hunters & Angels Facebook group.

The group’s goal is to help eligible people find and make their vaccine appointment.

"People have been frustrated, at their wits' end and worried about their parents," Orech told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Even for people like my parents who have cell phones, they're not going to navigate getting up at 5 in the morning to try to get an appointment."

Parents Of 22 Ready For Another

Lori and Dan O'Brien lead busy lives as parents to more than 20 kids. The couple has three biological children and 14 adopted kids. They also raised a nephew and four foster children.
