UPDATE: Body Of Man Pulled From Milwaukee Pond Friday Thought To Be Missing Milwaukee Veteran

Corey Adams was reporting missing March 20 after missing an appointment. Police allegedly found his body in the water Friday at Dineen Park.

MILWAUKEE - According to family members, police have recovered the body of missing Milwaukee man Corey Adams, 45, from a pond at Dineen Park on Friday.

Adams was a veteran with PTSD and had been missing since March 20 after he missed an appointment with the VA. Adams had left his home without his phone, glasses, money, and medication.

WTMJ-4 reports that family members were called to the scene by the Milwaukee Police Department and identified Adams from a tattoo.

Adams' family reported his disappearance within hours, as he had never missed an appointment at the VA, but it took eight days for him to meet missing criteria by Milwaukee police. In response to this, the family is hoping to propose a state law in his name to requiring veterans to be reported missing immediately after police are notified.

Milwaukee County is conducting an autopsy this weekend and no signs of foul play were reported.
