Christkindlmarket Goes Online In 2020 Amid Coronavirus

The market announced it will host an online "Home for the Holidays" event this year instead of its usual in-person programming.

MILWAUKEE, WI — This year's Milwaukee Christkindlmarket has joined the ranks of hundreds of other events affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The market on Thursday announced it will not be held in-person this winter. Instead, and unlike in years past, Christkindlmarket will host an online "Home for the Holidays" market.

In a video, the market announced its online programming this year will include some of its usual traditions, vendors and offerings.

“Although we cannot all be together in person this year, we promise to bring the feel of the market to your homes," the video said.
