Come Celebrate 15 on MAY 15 at INVIVO Wellness
INVIVO Wellness Celebrates 15 Years of Helping the Milwaukee Community Reach Optimal Health

2021 marks year number 15 for the multi-disciplinary wellness center INVIVO. Saturday May 15th will be a celebration day, Cheers to 15 Years!, at INVIVO Wellness with an open house, tours, free chair massages and free fitness activities throughout the day.
Since 2006, INVIVO Wellness has been helping and guiding members of the community to physical health. Located at 2060 North Humboldt Ave., INVIVO is a full service wellness center offering a wide array of features including physical therapy, gym memberships, personal training, and massage.
It was twenty years ago when founder and physical therapist Maurice Dumit, MPT conceived of a healthcare facility that would offer a mingling of complementary wellness disciplines in the same location. As a PT, Dumit was able to help his clients heal and recover but perhaps there was a way to give people options to improve their health even more. He had a vision of a place that offered a variety of health and wellness opportunities.

In Spring of 2006, INVIVO Wellness opened at its current location at the crossroads of the Riverwest and Beerline district. Physical therapy, yoga and fitness classes, personal training, massage, and specialty workshops, INVIVO Wellness provides numerous ways for people to access a more, active, fulfilling life.
As Dumit states, “Before INVIVO, hospitals did not typically offer wellness or alternative health services. Alternative and wellness practitioner’s provided services out of small, low-rent offices with barely any customer support services. Acupuncture and chiropractic were still considered “alternative medicine” and the formal medical community often disparaged them.”

Now, after 15 years of service to the community, and prevailing difficulties like the financial housing crisis and the current global pandemic, INVIVO remains committed to the health and wellness of the Milwaukee public.
Neck pain, joint issues, recovery from a surgery or accident, hip ache, or the ubiquitous low back pain, Maurice and the INVIVO Wellness physical therapy team use hands-on techniques that specialize in maximizing people’s movement.
In complement to physical therapy, INVIVO Wellness boasts a full service fitness facility including a gym and a class studio for holding a wide range of yoga and fitness classes, from core and HIIT workouts, to speed training.
For individual one-on-one fitness attention, accountability and close guidance, some may want the individual experience of working with a certified personal trainer. With five certified trainers on staff, INVIVO is ready to help motivate and take people through their paces for strength gain, balance and stability, and better mobility for everyday activities.
As an accompaniment to training and physical therapy, INVIVO also offers a variety of massage including relaxation, deep tissue, and Thai.
States Tori Seiter, an LMT who’s been practicing her massage craft at INVIVO for over a decade, “I feel we are still a hidden gem that people are excited to discover. Being here for so long I have had the chance to see INVIVO grow and pivot with the demands of the clients. It truly can be a one stop shop. With practitioners that go above and beyond across the board.”
Dumit continues, “We have persevered with the continuous support of inspired practitioners, the passion of our administrative team and, most especially, the enthusiastic and unwavering support of our clients and members throughout the years. We at INVIVO are all honored to be part of your community health and wellness support and look forward to continuing to be a vital and integral part of our community for years to come.”
INVIVO’s 15th Anniversary Celebration—Cheers to 15 Years! takes place on Saturday May 15th from 9a.m. to 3p.m. Come meet the INVIVO team of fitness and yoga instructors, physical therapists, and personal trainers for a tour of the facility.
