Dave Chappelle To Headline Summerfest For One Night Only

The comedian will perform at Summerfest's biggest stage on Sept. 11.

MILWAUKEE, WI — An award-winning comedian will perform on Summerfest's biggest stage for the first time in its history, but there's a twist.

Dave Chappelle will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater for one night only on September 11. This will be the first time he's performed at the festival, and will possibly be the first comedian to headline the main stage.

Tickets will go on sale on Summerfest's website and on Ticketmaster Friday. A spokesperson for the fest said that no cell phones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed inside the show.

Chappelle's last Milwaukee performance was at the Pabst Theater in March. It was one of the last live shows in the city before the COVID-19 pandemic froze live performances.
