Giannis Antetokounmpo Hacked: Twitter, Phone And Bank Account

Authorities say someone hacked into Giannis' Twitter account and posted a rash of unsavory messages.

MILWAUKEE, WI — One of Wisconsin's biggest sports stars has been hacked.

According to multiple reports, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had his official Twitter account hacked Thursday afternoon. A family member said his bank account, and cell phone were also hacked.

According to an article on Clutchpoints, the suspect hacked into Giannis' Twitter account, and published a series of posts that features racist and incendiary language. Among the tweets were one claiming he was infected with the coronavirus, that he was heading to the Golden State Warriors next season, and others that insulted teammates and fellow NBA players. The tweets were not safe for work.

According to a FOX 6 report, Mariah Danae, Giannis' girlfriend and mother to his son, said someone also hacked into his bank account.

The Milwaukee Bucks issued a statement shortly after everything happened, stating the team was conducting an investigation.

Giannis' brother Kostas, a player in the Los Angeles Lakers organization, came to his older sibling with a string of tweets of his own, saying Giannis' account was hacked.
