Milwaukee Business Journal Announces Winners Of 2017 HR Awards
The awards honor outstanding performance in the normally underappreciated field of human resources.

The Milwaukee Business Journal announced the winners of its annual HR Awards Friday. Winners will be honored at a ceremony May 19 in downtown Milwaukee and honored in a special section in the May 19 print edition of the Business Journal.
According to the Business Journal, they started the awards a few years ago to recognize a usually underappreciated side of most businesses, the human resources department. Winners were chosen by local HR experts within the seven-county region of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Walworth, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties.

- Medium Private Companies, Diane Rudy, Bradley Corp., Menomonee Falls
- Government, Kerry Mitchell, Milwaukee County
- Nonprofit, Lukischa Ramos, United Community Center, Milwaukee
- Education, Julie Grotophorst, Greendale Schools
The winners in the Company category are:
- Publicly Held Companies, GE Healthcare, Wauwatosa
- Large Private Companies, Faith Technologies Inc. of Pewaukee and Sendik's Food Market of Milwaukee
- Medium Private Companies, Zywave, Milwaukee
- Small Private Companies, HNI Risk Services, New Berlin
