Investigators looked into the tip that Kik user “dommasterbb” uploaded images and videos with child pornography 27 times in October and November last year, the complaint said.
The files were sent to other Kik users through private chat messages or shared in a messaging group, the complaint said. The email used to register the Kik account “dommasterbb” was linked with Blomme, the complaint said.
Kik also provided several different IP addresses that were used by “dommasterbb” to upload and share the images and videos, the complaint said. Two of the IP addresses were traced to a Milwaukee County government building, the complaint said.
Investigators searched Blomme's chambers, his vehicle and his residences in Milwaukee and Dane counties, officials said. The Wauwatosa Police Department, Cottage Grove Police Department, Racine County Sheriff's Office, Brookfield Police Department, Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension took part in the search.
Blomme took the bench last August, according to a biography on his website. He is described as a community activist, experienced attorney and devoted father.
Blomme previously served as an attorney with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office, where he represented low-income individuals charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes. He lives in the Lenox Heights neighborhood on Milwaukee's west side with his husband, Chris, and is the father of two children, his biography said.
