MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee officials are scaling back coronavirus testing at American Family Field, citing an increase in vaccination efforts against COVID-19 and a decline in the positive case rate.

The change will start next week with drive-through and walk-up testing only being held on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the Milwaukee Health Department. With the scale back in testing the city said it will reallocate some of its resources, including staff, toward vaccination sites.

Although American Family Field is the largest testing site it's not the only one in Milwaukee. The city said it will continue to run its testing sites at the Northwest and Southside health centers Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
