Milwaukee School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

MILWAUKEE, WI — The first day of school in Milwaukee is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Milwaukee School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 10/19: Parent-Teacher Conference Day
• 10/22: No School (October Recess)

November

• 11/6: Record Day
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/21: Professional Development Day
• 12/24–12/31: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1–1/2: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Mid-Semester Break)
• 2/19: Professional Development Day

March

• 3/15: Parent-Teacher Conference Day

April

• 4/2: Professional Development Day
• 4/15–4/22: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/12: Last Student Day
• 6/13: Record Day
