Milwaukee's July 3 Lakefront Fireworks Wont Return In 2021
The lakefront fireworks, typically scheduled for July 3 each year, will not return for 2021. The celebration should return in 2022.
MILWAUKEE, WI — The July 3 lakefront fireworks, one of the biggest firework shows in the area, will not come back in 2021, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
The Independence Day celebration could easily draw over 100,000 people in typical years. However, it will still not return for 2021, the Journal Sentinel reported.
It will mark two years in a row that Milwaukee's lakefront is firework-free. Last year's show, like many others nearby, was canceled due to the pandemic.

The usual July staples at Milwaukee's lakefront look quite different as the city emerges from its pandemic slumber. As mask mandates and health orders disappear come June 1, the usual summer celebrations may seem hard to find.
July typically was a hectic time of year for the lakefront: Fireworks and Summerfest frequently overlapped. Instead, Summerfest has been pushed back until September, and now the classic July 3 fireworks show will not return.
