Thunderstorms, Gusty Winds Likely Statewide Tuesday Afternoon

The National Weather Service says there is a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms in southeast Wisconsin as temperatures reach the 80s.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Showers and thunderstorms with some high wind gusts are in the forecast for large parts of Wisconsin Tuesday.

There's a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Storms may be accompanied by winds with gusts as high as 30 mph.

There will be potential for thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and again in the evening with a few potentially being stronger, according to a hazardous weather outlook report issued for East Central, South Central and Southeast Wisconsin. The main risks include gusty winds and small hail, according to the NWS.

Right now, temperatures are in the high 70s with 58 percent humidity, according to the National Weather service.

More showers and thunderstorms are possible before 4 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64 degrees.
