WI Parents: Do You Want Your Young Teens Vaccinated?

WISCONSIN — The federal panel that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention voted to recommend that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine be used in children ages 12-15 after the Food and Drug Administration announced earlier this week that it was expanding its emergency use authorization for the vaccine.

Gov. Tony Evers tweeted, "It's never been easier to get a #COVID19 vaccine, with providers statewide available for appointments and walk-in vaccines." Kids 12 and up will be eligible to get vaccinated in Wisconsin today, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Parent or legal guardian consent is required for COVID-19 vaccination, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
