Wisconsin High Schools Mull Negative Virus Test As Prom Caveat
Quickly, your 5-minute start for a smart Wednesday, includes a baby fighting for life, a ban on chokeholds, and St. Patrick's Day events.

METRO MILWAUKEE, WI — Wisconsin students are back in schools, prompting some districts to move forward with traditional, in-person proms.
That decision, however, may come with one condition.

While other schools aren’t requiring a test, many are opting to eliminate dancing. West Allis, Milwaukee and Arrowhead high schools are among those taking a more spaced-out approach.
WI Baby Needs Life-Saving Surgery
Three-month-old Elsie Steinbach, the daughter of first responders from Jefferson County, has the chubby cheeks and bright eyes that draw a person in — so you may not notice the medical tubes taped to her small face. They’re there because the infant is fighting for her life. Born without a pulmonary artery, little Elsie needs critical surgery to save her life.
