Wisconsin Weather: Mix Of Rain And Snow With High Winds Forecast

A mix of rain and snow combined with heavy winds is in the forecast for Friday afternoon into Saturday for parts of Wisconsin, according to the National Weather Service.

A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for parts of East Central, South Central and Southeast Wisconsin. The forecast calls for a rain and snow mix Friday afternoon with rain turning to snow overnight.

The snow along with the mix of rain and snow will persist through Saturday, the forecast says.

Along with the rain and snow, high winds are expected with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour on Friday and 35 miles per hour on Saturday.

A lakeshore flood warning is also in effect from midnight Friday until 6 p.m. Saturday with flooding expected along the Lake Michigan shore.

Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 41. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Rain and snow before 10pm, then rain between 10pm and 11pm, then rain and snow after 11pm. Patchy fog before 8pm. Low around 35. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday
Rain and snow. High near 37. Windy, with a northeast wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night
A chance of rain and snow before 7pm, then a chance of snow between 7pm and midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Blustery, with a northwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday
Partly sunny, with a high near 34. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
