Wisconsin Weather: Snowfall Totals; Record Cold Coming

MILWAUKEE, WI — The latest snowstorm of fall had residents picking autumn leaves from their snowblowers and hoping for warmer days ahead.

There will be, the National Weather Service says, but not before a few days of blistering cold. The cold weather, in fact, is due to set some records in our area starting on Tuesday.

That's when daytime temperatures in Southeastern Wisconsin will fail to reach 20 degrees. In addition, harsh winds will make it fell like it's between -5 and 5 degrees outside Tuesday. Definitely not the ideal conditions for leaf raking or outdoor recess at area schools.

Western Suburbs

Sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. Northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming west in the afternoon.

South Shore

Sunny, with a high near 19. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Northwest wind 5 to 15 miles per hour .

North Shore

Sunny, with a high near 19. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Northwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour.
