
MILWAUKEE, WI -- A longtime WISN 12 television news anchor died Wednesday evening, according to media reports,
According to a KUSI San Diego report, David Davis was killed in a crash near Dallas while on a cross-country road trip. According to WISN 12, he was in Milwaukee two weeks ago to celebrate the company's 115th anniversary.
"He received many awards for his work, including spot news coverage of the Jeffrey Dahmer capture, and week-long 9/11 reports from New York," the KUSI report stated.

David Davis joined the KUSI News team in January 2003 and retired in early 2018. Davis anchored WISN 12 in Milwaukee from 1988 to 2002 before moving on to San Diego.
