MILWAUKEE, WI -- Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee, 2301 N Lake Dr., will expand its Women’s Health Services with a new $16 million Labor and Delivery Unit. The new unit will include additional delivery rooms, Caesarean-section suites and patient-friendly amenities, officials say.

“Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee is committed to being the best choice for mothers and their growing families by providing convenient, quality care with an outstanding experience during this important time in their lives,” said Kelly Elkins, president, Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital.

The Labor and Delivery Unit expansion is the second phase of a larger project to update the Women’s Medical Center on the campus. The first phase, completed in 2016, was the renovation of the Post-Partum Unit. Future phases will include expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Post-Partum Services.
