Art Market Premier, Street Festival: This Weekend In Shorewood
The summer fun isn't over in Shorewood. This weekend will bring a full day street festival and the brand new Shorewood Artisan Market.

SHOREWOOD, WI — The July 4 weekend went off without a hitch in Shorewood this past weekend, but there is no shortage of summer events going forward. This weekend will bring the very first in the series of brand new art markets on Saturday and an all day street festival on Sunday.
The Shorewood Artisan Market will make its debut at at River Park this weekend. Work from 17 artists will be on display and for sale at the market, a news release from the organizer said. Expect to find paintings, drawings, textiles, fibers, sculptures, jewelry and mixed media, the news release said.
A special booth will be set up for kids at the market. The "artists in training" area will give children the opportunity to create their own art and watch demonstrations from established artisans, the news release said.

A $5,000 grant from the Shorewood Foundation was awarded to the market as it pursues its mission of diversity, community, service and creative expression. Artists are not only from Shorewood. Instead, the market hopes to bring all of the diverse arts from around the metro Milwaukee area into one spot, a news release from the market said.
The very first Shorewood Artisan Market will take place 12-4 p.m. Saturday at River Park, 1750 East River Park Court. The park is directly west of the Oakland and Edgewood intersection.

The Bucks NBA Finals games will take a front seat this weekend. Plenty of local gathering spots in Shorewood will be airing the games. A street festival planned for Oakland Avenue will air the Bucks game alongside live music and a few other sports.
Three Lions Pub and other businesses around Kensington Square will be closing off their portion of Oakland Avenue for an all day street fest airing the final Euro Cup game and game three of the NBA Finals, Three Lions Pub told Patch.
A 2000 inch television will air the various events during the day.
The Men's Wimbledon Final will air at 8 a.m., the Euro Cup will air at 2 p.m., and live music will be provided by the band Brit Pop starting at 4 p.m., according to the event schedule.

Game three of the NBA Finals with the Bucks facing off against the Phoenix Suns will also be aired at the event in the evening. Various drinks will be available, but walk-in alcohol is prohibited, the event page said.
The event will take place at the corner of Kensington Blvd and Oakland Avenue, 4500 N Oakland Avenue.
