2 Shorewood Burglaries Reported; Suspect Walked Right In Twice

SHOREWOOD, WI — Police in Shorewood are asking the public to make sure they're locking their doors overnight after two burglaries were reported this week.

Shorewood police said that in both cases, a suspect walked into each home through an unlocked door. Items were removed from each home.

In one case, police said a vehicle was taken from the garage of a home by using keys that were taken from inside the home.

Shorewood police posted a bulletin this week, urging residents to secure their homes, vehicles, and valuables in order to made it more difficult for thieves to obtain them.

Police are also encouraging residents to use products such as home security systems, motion activated lights and security cameras to enhance the overall security of their home.
