5 Car Break-ins Overnight on Monday

Thieves targeted five cars in Shorewood in break-ins overnight on Monday. More than $1,500 in property was taken.

Two cars parked in the 2400 block of East Stratford Court were illegally entered, and a $1,000 laptop computer and $350 dress taken from one. The cars were unlocked.

A GPS unit, car charger and two wireless headphones, with a combined valued of $180, were taken during two car break-ins in the 2700 block of East Shorewood Boulevard. The cars were also unlocked. 

Another car break-in was reported in the 3900 block of North Harcourt Place. About $3 in change was taken. It’s unclear whether the car was locked.
