Affordable Solar Power Webinar Offered By Conservation Committee
The free Friday webinar will provide information about a Milwaukee program to reduce solar power costs and increase sustainability.
SHOREWOOD, WI — The Conservation Committee will host a free webinar Friday to introduce residents and business owners to Grow Solar electricity programs, according to a Facebook post from the Village.
Grow Solar establishes group purchase programs under which communities join forces to increase their solar panel buying power. Group purchase programs create a budget-friendly way to invest in renewable solar power and improve sustainability, according to the Grow Solar website.
Grow Solar has already established similar programs across the North Shore and Milwaukee, according to the Facebook post.

The program has reduced solar installation cost by up to 15 percent for Milwaukee County households and has created 873 kilowatts of solar capacity.
The Conservation Committee is made up of civilians appointed by the Shorewood Village Board of Trustees. The Conservation Committee was established to inform the Village Board of Trustees and promote environmentally sustainable practices in Shorewood, according to their website.

Shorewood residents and business owners interested may register online to attend the Zoom meeting. The one-hour webinar starts at 12 p.m. Friday.
