Ascension Shorewood Clinic To Open Monday

SHOREWOOD, WI — Ascension Wisconsin marked the opening of its new 15,000-square-foot clinic on Oakland Ave. in Shorewood with a ribbon-cutting and ceremonial blessing on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee at Shorewood clinic will provide primary care, women’s health, lab, x-ray and ultrasound services and represents an investment of $7.8 million.

The clinic opens to patients on Monday, Sept. 9.

“This new space builds on Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s 30-year history of providing
compassionate, personalized care to families in Shorewood,” said Doug Culling, DO, MS, Clinical
President of Ascension Medical Group Wisconsin said in a statement to Patch. “Patients and their families will now have access to more expansive services with the addition of women’s health and imaging – all in one, convenient location that’s close to home.”

The clinic boasts a large waiting room filled with natural light, 20 patient rooms, onsite imaging and radiology, two procedure rooms, a call center and office space for providers and associates.

Design of the new Shorewood clinic was led by Ascension Wisconsin physicians to incorporate clinical best practices and also was informed by focus groups to enhance patient experience.

The four full-time primary care providers at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s existing clinic at Capitol Drive and Cramer Street have already begun to move into the new location. The practice will now include women and families services, with two OB/GYN physicians and a lactation consultant joining the care team.
