Shorewood Road Repair Project To Close Capitol Drive Lanes

Shorewood officials say the work is necessary to repair concrete pavement when ATC previously installed a fiber optic cable.

SHOREWOOD, WI --People traveling through Shorewood over the next week or so will have an extra road construction project to contend with as road crews plan to address pavement issues on Capitol Drive near the Estabrook Parkway.

Village officials say the closures are anticipated to remain in effect through Monday, Sep. 17.

Shorewood officials say the work is necessary to repair concrete pavement when ATC previously installed a fiber optic cable crossing Capitol Drive at Estabrook Parkway. The Contractor will need to remove and replace concrete pavement within the travel lanes of E. Capitol Drive.

Village engineers say the project is proposed to be completed in two phases. There will be one lane of traffic open in each direction per phase for the duration of the project.

For more information, residents are encouraged to go to the Village of Shorewood's traffic control plans for the work that will be taking place at the intersection of Capitol Drive and the Estabrook Parkway.
