Citizen Walking Along Milwaukee River Discovers Body This Morning
The MFD dive team recovered a partially decomposed body and sheriffs are conducting an investigation

MILWAUKEE -- A citizen walking a dog along the Milwaukee River saw a body floating around 9:55 a.m. this morning just north of the Hampton Bridge in the 1300 block of W. Hampton Ave.
Deputies responded and closed the parkway while the Milwaukee Fire Department dive team recovered the partially decomposed body from the river.
The Medical Examiner's office also responded to the scene and will conduct an autopsy to determine the race of the decedent and approximate time of death.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation but have placed a non-disclosure of information on the case at this time.
