A Classic Example of Wasteful Spending By The Shorewood School Board/Staff

Living in the shadow of the SHS/SIS campuses for the last 26 years, I have witnessed wasteful spending such as this photo I took 20 min ago. Lights on, 40 degrees on a March 18th evening, no nets in place........yet somehow someone determined that it was necessary to light these three tennis courts just to the south of the Intermediate School. As they are on a timer these lights will stay on until about 9:45 tonight costing the district (well really us taxpayers) money unnecessarily spent. This very same situation has happened night after night, year after year for easily the last 10-15 years despite my complaints to the board, the police, the Shorewood Planning Dept., and Tony Sedia (sp?) the head of the district's maintenance division. If you share the same concerns as I, please let all the above mentioned parties know of your concerns or thoughts on this so we can start to save foolishly spent tax dollars such as lighting unused tennis courts in the middle of March. I welcome your thoughts and feedback at mish@wi.rr.com or at 414-617-0222.
