Corner Bakery to Open in Shorewood at Baker's Square Location
Wisconsin's first Corner Bakery Cafe opened at the Mayfair Collection and owners are looking to expand
SHOREWOOD -- Plans are in place to open the second location of the Corner Bakery Cafe, which will replace the closing Baker's Square at 1305 E. Capitol Drive.
According to a report from OnMilwaukee.com, the building will be renovated, improved and expanded, with a drive-through added, patio, bike parking and bike maintenance station. The cafe will staff approximately 60-70 employees.
The franchise is operated by Dimitri and Peter Dimitropoulos, who also own the Culver's location in Shorewood just east of the new Corner Bakery site.

Proposed hours for the restaurant are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week and plans will be submitted to the Village of Shorewood at the Plan Commission meeting Tuesday night.
No opening date has been announced but the Baker's Square is expected to close at the end of the year.
