Criterium Cycling Classic Comes To Shorewood
Shorewood will once again host the Criterium Cycling Classic. Here's what is new this year.

SHOREWOOD, WI — On June 28, Shorewood will once again host the Criterium Cycling Classic, the largest cycling event in the U.S. as part of the Tour of America’s Dairyland (ToAD).
Shorewood is day eight of the 11-day tour. The ToAD races in 11 cities that spans from June 21 to July 1. According to race officials, in 2017, nearly 1,000 racers from more than 40 states and 15 countries participated in ToAD with an average of 450 racing daily. Overall an estimated 100,000 spectators attended races and other special race-day events in host communities.

For the first time ever, the Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic will be extended to begin at 11:30 a.m., while adding two fixed-gear races.
Also new this year is the Decoration Station from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Kensington Liquor Parking Lot.
There, children can decorate their bikes in preparation for the Kid’s Roll, a race for children 12-
and-under. The Kid’s Roll registration and swag table is from noon to 6 p.m. in front of the North Shore Bank, at Kensington Blvd. and Oakland Ave.
