Hiya Taco, A New Taco Joint Coming To Shorewood

SHOREWOOD, WI — A new taco joint is coming to Shorewood, in the building that used to house The Ruckus.

Earlier this month, the Shorewood Village Board approved a liquor license for Hiya Taco, a new venture for the Toro Toro Toro restaurant group that also operates the BelAir Cantina, Fuel Cafe, Comet Cafe and others. Hiya Taco will serve up street taco and other quick and delectable fare.

Officials in Shorewood say this new concept will fit perfectly in the previous restaurant space at 4114 N. Oakland, by making use of the indoor and outdoor amenities already in place.

According to a JSOnline report, Hiya Taco will be a "walk-up restaurant serving tacos, breakfast tacos, burritos, bowls, salads, soups and churros under a to-be-determined trade name."

Look for an open sign in February, Shorewood officials say.
