It's YOUR Shot: Have Your Photo Featured Across Wisconsin

Send us an awesome photo and have it - and the story behind it - shared with thousands of Patch readers across the Badger State.

It seems everyone's a photographer these days.

Cell phones capture amazing images. True DSLR cameras render detail that almost looks surreal.

We got to thinking. Why not share the pictures we receive, and see elsewhere, with you?

This week's images are a double feature. The first one comes from a loyal Patch.com reader and Milwaukee Regional Editor Scott Anderson, who has the privilege of driving to work every day along the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.

The next one comes from Janet Hertig, who took this "red sky at night, sailors' delight" photo. "Here is the sunset we admired in Mequon's North Shore Cinema parking lot, on November 27th! The sky was painted with a pinkish color in every direction," she told us.

Have you got the next "It's Your Shot" sitting in your smartphone?

Send your Shots to scott.anderson@patch.com or send Scott a message on your local Patch Facebook page and we'll post the feature each week!

We're looking for high-resolution images that reflect the beauty that is Metro Milwaukee, and that show off your unique talents.

So, bring 'em on.

If you might not already know, your new Milwaukee Regional Editor for Patch.com knows a thing or two about photography. He knows that a photo — taken by anyone at any time with any camera (even on a phone) — is a great way to share and connect with people in your community.
