Milwaukee Jewish Federation President/CEO Plans To Retire

Hannah Rosenthal wrote the board of directors at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation this week, announcing her retirement plans.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee Jewish Federation President and of the last six years Hannah Rosenthal has announced her plans to retire from the organization.

Rosenthal wrote the board of directors at the Federation this week, announcing her retirement.

"I'm writing to let you know of my decision to retire on December 31, 2018. It's been my honor and my pleasure to lead the Milwaukee Jewish Federation for the past six years," Rosenthal wrote. "Together we have increased funding to the Jewish community, enhanced our connections with Israel, and renewed our focus on social justice. I look forward to continuing our work together through the end of the year."

Rosenthal's career has featured a number of high-profile positions. According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, she was the Midwest regional director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2009-2012. She also worked in the U.S. State Department, monitoring and combating anti-Semitism.
