Alan Fracis Gartzke passed away on June 20, 2012 at the age of 60. 

Beloved husband of Micki (Nee Smith). Loving father of the late LeA. Son of the late Arno and Frances Gartzke. Brother of the late Barbara Ann, Arthur and Eugene. Son-in-law of Darlene Smith. Brother-in-law of Virginia Gartzke, Kelly, Patrick and Michael Smith. Proud uncle of Arno Gartzke and Jean (Tony) Kitchen. Great uncle of Nate, Ellie, Will, Ben, Sam and Meg. Further survived by his much loved Goddaughters whom he considered his own, Lydia Schendel, Anna Arenas, Elle and Emme Henley and Gina Rugari. And, many extended, loving relatives and dear friends.

Deepest gratitude to the CSM Cancer Center’s All-Star Oncologist, Dr. Varsha Shah and her outstanding nurses, as well at dear Dr. Barak “Mr. Big” Gurses and his awesome team. And the all dedicated health care workers who gave so much to Gartzke during his fight for life.
