Connie Catanese Smith died suddenly on Monday at the age of 42. She was a very loving, generous and caring woman, always putting others before herself. Her daughter and family were her true pride and joy in life, nothing ever came before family.

Connie Catanese Smith died suddenly on Monday at the age of 42.
A resident of Shorewood, Smith was a very loving, generous and caring woman, always putting others before herself. Her daughter and family were her true pride and joy in life, nothing ever came before family. She gave life her best; she will be deeply missed, never forgotten and forever loved.

Smith is the beloved daughter of Salvatore J. and Giuseppina (nee Maniscalco) Catanese. Daughter-in-law of Rosemary and the late John Smith. Loving mother and best friend of Ashley M. Smith. Precious and caring sister of Joe “Julian” (Janine) Catanese and of the late Dominic Catanese. Proud aunt of Grace and Sam Catanese. Further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and many great friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the . Visitation will also take place on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at , corner of East Capitol Drive and North Farwell Avenue, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Smith’s name may be made to the Catanese Family.
