SHOREWOOD, WI— In-person voting is moving in Shorewood, sort of. Voters have already voted at the Village Center, but for the upcoming elections in both February and April, the Village passed a resolution moving in-person absentee voting from Village Hall to the Shorewood Village Center, 3920 N Murray Ave. The vote was Monday.
Here's why.
In March 2020, the Village of Shorewood declared a state of emergency due to COVID-19 and in March 2020 Village Hall doors closed to the general public and remain closed to the general public for the foreseeable future.
