Police Report: Man Arrested for Shoplifting $115 Worth of Liquor from Local Grocer

Police arrested a 44-year-old man Wednesday after they say he walked out of , 4145 N. Oakland Ave., without paying for the four bottles of Jack Daniels liquor concealed in his backpack.

Police received a report from the grocery store of the theft of $115 worth of liquor and would later make an arrest in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue.

  • Police responded to , 1421 E. Capitol Dr., Tuesday after a pharmacist reported a suspicious person attempting to fill a prescription for Oxycodone. Police say the woman’s prescription was valid, but arrested her on an open felony warrant for probation violation.
  • A resident in the 4400 block of North Bartlett Avenue called police to report the theft of a $200 snowblower from a detached garage sometime overnight on Monday. Police say entry to the garage was gained through an unlocked overheard door.
