Police Report: Stolen Car; Vandals Strike at TCF Bank

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police log.

A resident told police Wednesday his Chevrolet Colorado had been stolen from his driveway in the 1700 block of East Menlo Boulevard sometime between 3 and 3:25 p.m.

The car was unlocked with the keys inside. The victim told police two ladders, a bending machine and $7,000 in miscellaneous contractor tools were in the truck at the time of the theft.

  • Police are searching for a suspect whom tried to fill a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone Tuesday at Family Pharmacy, 3512 N. Oakland Ave., and left his drivers license at the scene after fleeing.
  • TCF Bank’s assistant manager phoned police Wednesday after two windows were broken and graffiti was sprayed across other windows on the south side of the building at 4201 N. Oakland Ave. Police didn’t have damage estimates as of Friday morning.
  • A resident called police Tuesday to report their debit card had been used 12 times for $1,168 in fraudulent charges.
  • A $225 bicycle trailer was reported stolen from a home in the 1500 block of East Olive Avenue on Wednesday.
