Racine Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 14-year-old

He was found in a motel with the teenage runaway

RACINE -- A 37-year-old Racine man appeared in court Friday and was charged with two counts of second degree sexual assault of a child and one count of child enticement. He was given $100,000 bond and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 17.

According to racineuncovered.org, Mount Pleasant Police were dispatched to a motel on Aug. 10 where they found a boy who had been reported as a runaway from Milwaukee, along with the Racine man. The teen reported that he had taken a bus from Milwaukee to Racine to meet the defendant because they had been chatting on social media.

The next day the boy's parents found suggestive messages on his phone and both the defendant and the teen admitted to having engaged in sexual relations.
