School District Offers Emotional, Mental Health Support

Parents are invited to participate virtually in an "Emotional Wellness and Mental Health Conversation".

SHOREWOOD,WI— Parents of elementary school students are invited to participate virtually in an "Emotional Wellness and Mental Health Conversation".

The event is Thursday, October 15 at 7 p.m. It's sponsored by the school district.

Psychologist Maggie Altschaelf, PhD will talk about this subject as part of Shorewood’s elementary schools mental health partnership with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Lake Bluff Counselor Amy Gahl-Sweeney and Lake Bluff Dean of Students Catherine Harris will also share ways the schools support the mental health of our children.

"Emotional wellness is paramount to every child’s development, so we highly encourage all elementary parents to attend," the school district explained.
