Shorewood Criterium Celebrates 10th Anniversary
The cycling races will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on Oakland Avenue.

The Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic will celebrate its 10th anniversary when it takes to the village streets Thursday afternoon.
Shorewood is the first stop in the 11-city "Tour of American's Dairyland" presented by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. This year's race has earned the coveted "NCC" status, putting it on the National Criterium Calendar and attracting the best racers in the country.
The 1.3-mile rectangular course starts at Oakland Avenue and Marion Street, heads southbound on Oakland before turning left on Wood Place for two blocks, then turning on Maryland Avenue, turning left again on Kensington Boulevard and then returning to Oakland Avenue.
Here is a schedule of race times:
4:30 - 5:15:Â Category 2/3
5:25 - 6:25:Â Pro Women 1/2
6:25 - 7:00: Kids Roll event for local kids under age 10
7:00 - 8:30:Â Pro Men 1
