Shorewood Family Chiropractic Sponsors High School Science Club

Presented Friday was a $300 check to help the science club fund competition fees and travel.

Shorewood Family Chiropractic owner Monica Maroney presented the Shorewood High School science club with a check for $300 Friday. 

High school biology teacher Karen Grzybowski said the club will use the money to pay for competition fees and traveling. 

"Anything we do we have to try to come up with money, and it's been very diffucult," said Grzybowski.

"It's the cost of the competitions themselves, and the cost of getting to those competitions."

Maroney said she was asked to sponsor the club and wanted to support the students.

"I went to high school here, and my daughter just graduated two years ago...of course I want to support the kids here," she said. 

Shorewood Family Chiropractic is the club's first sponsor.
